Our Story
Every bird has a story, and every bird deserves the chance to write a better one. Our rescue was founded on a shared passion for parrots and a commitment to giving them the love, respect, and second chances they deserve. While our paths into avian rescue began separately, they were united by a common purpose: to advocate for birds who have been neglected, abandoned, surrendered, or simply need someone willing to fight for them.
This mission is deeply personal to both of us. For Ashrae, it began with Avicii—her beloved heart bird, a double yellow headed Amazon whose life forever changed the way birds were viewed and understood. Although Avicii’s time was far too short, the joy, trust, and unconditional love shared together became the foundation for a promise: to dedicate a life to helping other birds receive the care, compassion, and future they deserve .
For Brittany, that same passion was shaped by two extraordinary companions, Tiki and Indy, beautiful green cheek conures. Their unique personalities, unwavering trust, and lasting impact inspired a lifelong commitment to avian welfare and reinforced the belief that every bird has immeasurable value and deserves a voice.
Together, we founded this rescue to honor the birds who changed our lives by changing the lives of others. Our mission extends far beyond providing shelter. We are dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and advocating for companion parrots in need while carefully preparing them for loving, permanent homes where they can thrive. Every bird receives individualized care that addresses not only their physical health, but also their emotional well-being and behavioral needs, allowing them the opportunity to heal, rebuild trust, and flourish.
Education is equally central to our purpose. We believe that many birds enter rescue because their complex needs are misunderstood. Through education, outreach, and compassionate guidance, we strive to empower current and future bird owners with the knowledge needed to provide lifelong, responsible care. By strengthening the bond between people and parrots, we hope to reduce the number of birds who find themselves without a home.Our vision is to create a future where every companion bird is valued, understood, and given the opportunity to live a safe, enriched, and fulfilling life. Every rescue, every rehabilitation, every successful adoption, and every person we educate brings us one step closer to that future.
This rescue exists because of love—the love we shared with Avicii, Tiki, and Indy, and the love we now strive to give every bird who enters our care. Their legacies live on in every life we save, every family we educate, and every bird who is given the chance to begin again.

Brittany
President & Co-founder
Brittany has dedicated years to animal rescue, driven by a lifelong passion for providing compassionate, knowledgeable care to animals in need. With experience caring for both rescue dogs & rescue birds, she brings patience, empathy, & a commitment to helping every animal thrive. Known affectionately as our "Cockatoo Whisperer", She has a remarkable understanding of Cockatoos & their unique emotional & behavioral needs. Her calm demeandor & ability to build trust with even the most challenging birds have made her an invaluable advocate for these intelligent companions. After recognizing she & Ashrae shared the same vision for ethical rescue, rehabilitation, & education, Brittany Co-Founded the rescue to give parrots a true second chance, as this has been a goal of hers for years. She sports quite the flock, including Lily & Obie the Goffins Cockatoos, Cici the Umbrella cockatoo, Echo, Eddie, & Pico the Green Cheek Conures, Beaker, Skye, Suki, & Leo the Quakers, and Sprite & Remi the Indian Ringnecks.
Ashrae
Vice-President & Co-founder
Ashrae is an avid animal lover who started her career in professional dog training & rescue. Training service dogs primarily, she has also trained dogs that have been featured in music videos, television shows, & even the mascots for the San Diego Padres baseball team! Though her passions didn't stop with canines, Ashrae developed a deep love for birds as a teenager, finally getting her first bird in her late 20's. Since then, she has rescued, fostered, rehabilitated, & assisted dozens of birds across several species in finding their forever homes. When her rescued soul bird, Avicii, passed away, she felt compelled to begin her own rescue, to help other birds like Avicii find loving homes with caring & compassionate people. She now has her own flock of parrots, including Jericho her African Grey & Tobi the double yellow headed amazon along with her dog Nyx the Belgian Tervuren.
Andrew
Treasurer
Andrew is a devoted pet dad who has loved birds all of his life. His mother owned & raised parakeets, which grew his love for birds deeper. He is the husband to Ashrae, so animal rescue & care is nothing new to him, as he has been her right hand man in assisting her through all that she has done. He is the first to greet all new surrenders & start them off with a soft voice & a delicious treat! His personal flock includes Pistachio & Hazel the Nanday Conures, Havoc the Quaker, & Kevin the Lilac Crown Amazon, as well as his dog, Vibe the Beauceron.
