We carefully screen adopters and choose the home that best matches the bird’s personality, needs, and long-term well-being.
We can discuss update preferences during the surrender process, but updates may vary depending on the circumstances. We always try our hardest to keep you updated until the bird is adopted.
For us to give your bird the best possible care, we ask that any and all veterinary records be sent to us, if possible.
Requests outside our immediate service area may be considered individually, depending on distance, transportation, foster availability, and available resources.
In most cases, no. Once a bird is formally surrendered to Little Loud Soul Bird Rescue, ownership is transferred to the rescue and the surrender is permanent. This allows us to make decisions that are in the bird’s best interest and begin the process of rehabilitation and finding an appropriate forever home. If you’re unsure about surrendering, we encourage you to contact us before submitting a request so we can discuss all available options.
No. We can only accept birds from their legal owner or someone who has the legal authority to surrender them. If you’re trying to help a friend or family member, the owner will need to complete the surrender request or provide written authorization.
We may ask questions or request documentation to confirm ownership before accepting a surrender. Little Loud Soul Bird Rescue reserves the right to decline any surrender request if ownership cannot be verified or if there is a dispute regarding the bird’s ownership. If ownership is unclear or disputed, we may require additional documentation or written consent from all legal owners before proceeding.
If the owner is deceased, a family member, executor of the estate, or another authorized representative may contact us to discuss surrender options. We may request documentation to verify authorization before accepting the bird.
We know surrendering a beloved companion is never an easy decision. Whether you're ready to submit a request or simply need guidance, we're here to listen. We understand every situation is unique, and we'll work with you to determine the best path forward for both you and your bird.
